Reducing Restrictive Practice: A Co-Production Event

  • Unipart conference centre Garsington Road Oxford, England, OX4 2GQ United Kingdom (map)

It's nice to say there was a lot of interest in this area, so we have quickly pulled together an event on the 21st July in Oxford, as we recognise how important the issue is.

We are delighted that CQC colleagues from their policy department can join us and want to set the CQC policy position.  They are keen to co-produce some solutions with providers.

At the event, there will be an opportunity to work with the CQC and hear how other providers are successfully reducing their use of restrictive practice.

We strongly encourage you to invite an expert by experience who you might have worked with in your programs to reduce restrictive interventions.

2 Asks!

During the day we would like to show case 2 great examples of best practice, if you have any thing you would like to present please respond here and take pride in what you have achieved!

We are also looking for five scenarios or some of the challenges you are facing in relation to

  • Seclusion

  • Long term segregation

  • Restrictive Interventions

They will be discussed on the day in groups with feedback to see what the position would be from the CQC.
Please email an overview here, no more than 300 words.
